Stephen P. Robbins received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He previously worked for the shell Oil Company and Reynolds Metals Company and has taughtat the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Concordia University in Montreal, the University of Baltimore, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and San Diego State University. Dr. Robbins; research interests have focused on conflict, power and politics in organizations, behavioral decision making, and the development of effective interpersonal skills. His articles on these and other topics have appeared in such journals as Business Horizons, California Management Review, Business and Economic Perspectives, International Management, Management Review, Canadian Personnel and Industrial relations, and Journal of Management Education.

Dr. Robbins is a best-selling textbook author in the areas of management and organizational behavior. His books have sold in excess of three million copies and are currently used by students in more than a thousand U.S. colleges and universities, and have been translated into16 languages.

Dr. Robbins also actively participates in masters' track competition. Since turning 50 in 1993, he has set numerous indoor and outdoor age-group world sprint records. You could really just go with the previous version

After I rented this book, my professor said that we could've just gone with the previous version (6th Edition) because it contains the exact same information with negligible changes to the content. Would've been nice if the professor mentioned this before I rented the book and saved me some money, But glad Amazon rents textbooks and very comparable prices.

I agree with this book

The reason I say that I agree with this book is because a majority of this book that informed of what I should do as a supervisor was what I would have already done in that situation so for me the only things I learned from this book was the technical terms for what some things were called and some laws involving ethics. this means to me that either A this book is filled with relatively common knowledge or B I would just make an awesome supervisor because my instinctual thought process gives me all the right answers. I would recommend renting this book before you make the decision of buying it. I wont be buying this book because laws and technical terms was the only thing it helped me with in that case I believe I can find a better book but if you need help deciding what to do as a supervisor then perhaps this book is meant for you.

Good coverage of merchandising

This is a great book because there isn't much out there that covers grain merchandising in such a complete way.

Although it's a textbook it really gives concrete, real-world examples of merchandising situations. It starts by going over the basics and progresses into the more advanced topics of things like transportation, storage at farms, storage costs, etc.. It also goes into topics beyond classroom material and offers advice on merchandising aspects like the potential of simply cold-calling potential buyers.

Overall a great book for anyone interested in the commodity markets, farmers or anyone involved in an elevator.

The Viking opened the book, unhindered by Leo's attempts to grab it back, and then he paused, seeming puzzled. With one scarred finger, he touched the richly colored pages, rubbing as if trying to rub the gold off them.

Leo wondered if this man had ever even seen a book before. Everyone said that the Vikings were savages; heathens who defiled altars and knocked the gold crucifixes off church walls.

"Bah," the Viking said then, and threw the book away over his shoulder.

As if it were rubbish, Leo thought with horror. As if the word of God meant no more to him than a child's scribbles.

Struggling desperately, he tried to escape, to find the book and run. But the Viking's heavy hand fell on his shoulder, then around his neck, grabbing him hard enough to make him cry out in pain and fear.

Leo tried to breathe, growing dizzy as the hand around his throat tightened.

He felt overwhelmed. The Viking was at least a head taller than he was, and so much stronger. He could easily strangle Leo one-handed.

"Mine," the Viking said again, with that same unpleasant smile. Then he dropped his giant axe on the floor behind him, and with his free hand, began to unbuckle his belt.

Clarence Larkin's "The Greatest Book on Dispensational Truth in the World" is truly a classic that has stood the tests of time... Published back in 1920, no other book of its type, or veracity, has been been put forth, especially showing Premillennialism in a light that cannot be denied.

Larkin was a trained draftsman, who as he studied the Bible, diagrammed what he read. From his drawings and charts, study of God's Word has enriched generations of those who seek illumination and clarification, as regards to history- past, and future, as prophecy is but history foretold... His work on Daniel's Seventieth Week, as an example, is as germane today, as it has been when Daniel penned it.

When I taught many years ago, I knew that there were several types of learning methodologies. Sight, sound, and touch. Of course, these three can also be found in combination. A good teacher tries to provide as much as possible, examples of each, when a difficult subject is approached. Larkin has made the visually oriented people a gift, one that enlightens passages some may think difficult. As a study aid, his wonderfully detailed charts are invaluable. He does not rely upon his own understanding, but works from The Word of God, in conjunction with The Holy Spirit. The result? Joy...

I had one of the first editions, handed down to me from an uncle and I have been hooked ever since...

The Charts are priceless, it really does unfold truths as never before..

Considering that this was written before Israel became a nation and that was one of the things that Clarence Larkin insisted was going to happen. HAD TO HAPPEN.. makes it even more interesting and real to the person who is interested in Prophecy to find out that they became a Nation in 1948.. and that the church did not replace Israel as many claim...

This is a wonderful looking book, I have not had a chance to start reading it, however the drawings alone are beyond great. The book arrived within three days of ordering, and the book is in great shape.
