Dammit Kassana has done it again, and I am Estatic!

Damn Ms. Dwight Did it Again!

One of things about Authors who have become seasoned writers is that sometimes more often than not you can recognize the formula of a book and predict the outcome and/or how the storyline is going to go. Just like her previous books, this story does NOT suffer from that symptom! The story about Jin Woo and Anjula is really really good. Having a story with with a sexy Asian hero and Black female character (even though she had the damn green/hazel eyes, she was still a chocolate goddess) is rare to find in the IR genre and I wish more writers would tackle those parings. Jin Woo is not the whimpy nerdy Asian stereotype but the hot martial expert rebel of an esteemed Korean family. Anjula is not a round away girl but a professional child psychologist (thank you for writing positive role models and not ex strippers/round the way girls with golden hearts blah blah blah). Their meeting is realistic and explosive and they when they finally come together, Kassanna has given the story more than enough time to develop for those of you women who are still shy about a heroine giving up the goodies too quickly. (weird since I know most of the readers of this genre have children so they are not nuns or virgins, just saying. There is the nutter ex and some type of intrigue that coming. Yes coming, because this story is a cliffhanger! BUT, STAY WITH ME and this is why this book got one of my RARE 5 star reviews, Kassanna has written the PERFECT cliffhanger where even if she does not write the second part in year, ( I hope not) you are left feeling like this is a standalone book! There is no stupid someone leaves and you don't know where they have gone ending. There is no hero and heroine are separated at the end of the book crap, Its a well written story, with excellent funny supporting characters and mystery that makes you want more. I hope she doesn't wait too long for part 2. I think you will find this book enjoyable, compelling, the characters will mean something to you and you will want to maybe try a little Asian Persuasion for yourself. RECOMMENDED.

Sweet Heavens!!!

Kassanna has taken things to another level with Asian Persuasion! Gripping from the first page until I read those dreaded words "The End."

Choi Jin Woo is a dangerous man and one not to be trifled with. Annual Matthews is a strong and charismatic woman that does not suffer fools well. I love Bai Lin and Jay and how they support their friends and their commitment to being ride or die peeps. Whomever this fool is that's threatening Anjula and Jin just might windup dead. I have a feeling it might not be who we think not is.

I normally don't like cliffhangers but this one ended well and ok am fully engaged and intrigued. I can't wait for the sequel.

I liked the storyline of this book. I enjoyed the characters but it wasn't the best book I've read. There were many spelling and grammatical errors. It was almost as though no one proofread it. I also am not a fan of cliffhangers. If you are interested in finding out what happens next, you must get another book. I'm not sure if I'll continue to follow this series.

The implementation and evaluation of a social skills training program for children with asperger syndrome.Unpublished doctoral dissertation, University at Albany, State University of New York.�
This study examined the effectiveness of group training with ASD children using the structured teaching lessons in Jed Baker's book versus a control group. Results showed at least minimal improvement on 90% of targeted skills compared to the control group.�

2. Koning, C., Magill-Evans, J., Volden, J., and Dick, B.(2013).Efficacy of cognitive behavior therapy-based social skills intervention for school-aged boys with autism spectrum disorders. Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders 7 (2013) 1282-1290.
This study evaluated the efficacy of a 15 week CBT-based social skills intervention for boys aged 10-12 years diagnosed with an ASD. Boys with average or better IQ and receptive language skills were randomly assigned to either a control (n = 8) or intervention condition (n = 7). During intervention, boys attended weekly 2 h long group sessions focusing on self-monitoring skills, social perception and affective knowledge, conversation skills, social problem-solving, and friendship management skills. Sessions were based on work by Baker (2003), Crick and Dodge (1994), and Garcia-Winner (2002, 2005). Comparison of the outcomes using repeated measures analyses indicated that boys receiving the intervention scored significantly better on measures of social perception, peer interaction, and social knowledge than boys who had not received intervention. There were no differences on generalization measures of socialization (i.e. situations that differed from training). The manualized intervention used in this study shows promise but replication with larger samples is needed and generalization to new situations needs to be targeted.

Randomized controlled effectiveness trial of executive function intervention for children on the autism spectrum. Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, 2013 Nov 21.
This study set out to validate the methods used in a manual called Unstuck and On Target by Cannon et al. (2011) which targets frustration management skills. The control group used for this study used lessons based on Baker (2003) manual of social skills training. The lessons used from Baker's manual were not specifically those that target frustration, but instead those that targeted conversation, turn taking and friendship management. Not surprisingly, the Unstuck and On Target group was superior to the control group on frustration measures (remember the control group did not target frustration related skills). What was Interesting though was that the control group showed extensive improvement in social appropriateness and reciprocity skills and the lessons were well liked by schools, parents and students. So although frustration skills were not targeted in the control group, those lessons that were targeted from the Baker (2003) book did in fact lead to large gains in social functioning.

Great for Social Skills Training

There are clear cut lessons and activities that cover a variety of topics from how to greet others to asking someone on a date. Very valuable for those who need concrete examples of the correct way to approach many different social situations. Could be used for children on the autism spectrum, but also for any child who could benefit from practice in social interaction, even those who are shy. Anyone who lives and works with students who have social skills defecits would find this book useful.

Disorganized

This book is very hard to follow in my opinion.
The main problem is that the actual information is lost in the middle of plenty of examples making it very hard for the student to synthesize the topic. To make matter worse, the example seems to stick out more that the remaining of the text due to too much colors in the titles. Most of the text of each chapter could fit in just a couple pages highlighted by a couple of judicious examples and demonstrations.

"Jean-Baptiste Poquelin Moliere (1622-73), the French actor-manager and dramatist, was one of the theatre's greatest comic classics. Inspired by traditions of French farce and the 'commedia dell'arte', he courted controversy with his satiric commentaries on the society of his time and on eternal human foibles, but was saved by the patronage of the 'Sun King' Louis XIV. Born in Manchester in 1959, Ranjit Bolt was educated at Perse School and at Balliol College, Oxford. He worked as an investment analyst and advisor for eight years, before concentrating on theatre translation from the end of 1990. I just finished reading Unsaid Things, and it took me less than a day to finish the whole book (even going to classes) because I was so hooked. I've been a McFly fan for a while, and I fell in love with every single member of mcfly all over again. I started out laughing, and I then cried, and smiled. I now understand so many things, and I am so happy I read this book.

This book is incredibly entertaining, and a must read for all McFly fans. I finished it in two days, I couldn't put it down! It has all the inside info about the beginning stages of the band, which is pretty cool, as well as the guys' childhood stories. Lots of funny anecdotes and even some of their own personal struggles are documented in this book. Of course, it talks about the music and I found myself comforted and hopeful for what's to come in their future as a band and particularly about the direction of their next studio album, which promises to be a return to true McFly form... AKA AWESOME! McFly fans, you will absolutely love this.

I absolutely loved this book. I am someone who loses focus easily when reading so it usually takes a while to finish a book but I finished this book in about 2 days. I am from the US so I never really heard of McFly growing up but several months ago I discovered their music and fell in love. I had seen Tom Fletcher's viral videos before online but never looked into the band much until I was rewatching the Wedding Speech a couple months ago and was in tears because of how sweet it is. I decided to look up the band and then discovered their music. I had about 10+ years to catch up on so I bought a bunch of their songs, watched old videos and learned as much as I could. This book was the icing on the cake, it filled in all the gaps and then some! It is so well written, I was laughing and crying, and dreading getting to the end of the book because I didn't want it to be over (I really hope in a few more years they write another book of some sort). And I must say McFly has probably the most incredible story of how the band was formed. It was really a perfect storm of so many little moments that had to happen in order to create the McFly we know and love READ THIS BOOK!!!
