Don Nordin is the pastor of CT Church Houston (www.ctchurch.tv), a congregation with more than two thousand people in weekly attendance. With a focus on training leaders, he travels extensively as a speaker in revivals, camp meetings, and conferences. He lives with his wife in Houston, Texas.

Instills real faith

Here we have a book of true healing miracles in answer to prayer, miracles that have been medically documented.
This is not a book on how to get comfort or understanding when you need to know why you are going through a trial that will not end or after some tragedy has befallen you. Those books have their place but this is not one of those. No, this book is about faith, real faith, faith that does not quit or give up. It is about real faith based on God’s Word either written or spoken (as in a rhema word, a verse made “alive” or of God speaking to someone individually in prayer).
And no “if it be your will” type of prayers. No, these people heard from God, then stood believing what they had heard.
The first chapter talks about why we should pray. The other chapters have detailed stories of horrific accidents or diseases or storms where only God could do a miracle. Each chapter also contains a Bible story with a similar theme to the real-life story to tie them together and a sample prayer to pray.
I noticed some similarities in the stories. Most of the “victims” (those ill or injured) were not able to pray for themselves (either they were in comas or were infants in the womb) so there is no way that the healings were dependent on the faith of the person receiving the healing. Someone else or a group of others were praying in agreement for the “victim’s” healing. But most of all, someone or a group of people were standing in faith, not believing (in these cases) the doctor’s (negative) reports, but instead stood on what God had said to them.
I would be hard pressed to believe that someone could read this book and not receive more faith to believe in prayer and healing. If you are wanting more faith, go now and buy yourself this book.

Jesus said to get a clean bill of health from the Doctor

While many say they have not seen any miracles, I lost count of the one I personally saw at the age of 17, I am now 56. The people who were prayed for at this church and claimed they were healed had to show a doctors note, signed by the Doctor, with a date showing before the prayer.
Then after the prayer they had to show a note signed by the Doctor the condition was given a clean bill of health. I'm glad to see another ministry has taken the time to do so.

I loved this book especially the way it was laid out. A quote of scripture, a little about the context of the word, a short story about how we serve the same God & then he leads you to pray. I wish he wrote a second one.
