I bought this book to expand my reading on change mgt for my degree, and I have found it very useful for me in terms of having good change story, and the usage of the academic references.
However, there are some redundancy and not all chapters are strong enough for a book like this.
Overall it is a useful book to read.

An excellent book for reviewing theory and literature relative to organizational change. It contains those that have endured the test of time as well as the newer ones. I would recommend this to anyone with some background and interest in that area of study.

Graziani provides straightforward understanding.

The title of the book is an accurate depiction of the contents of this work. The material is presented in a straightforward, methodical manner. The material is presented with understanding and teaching in mind utilizing repetition, sample code, examples, and review. The book is primarily a walk through the various Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Requests for Comments (RFC) that comprises the aspects, features, and options of IPv6. Most of these RFC walkthroughs are accompanied with Cisco IOS example code for setting up a router to implement the RFC. After some of these examples, output from a packet sniffer demonstrates the changes to the packet headers. The book finishes with mechanisms for implementing mixed IPv4 and IPv6 environments and approaches to transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6. Additional references and notes point the reader to more details or topics not covered by the book. Overall I certainly recommend this book as a starting point into IPv6 if the reader has some IPv4 and routing experience. I believe for the novice an additional more general book on networking should be digested first.

The book covers the Internet history and the motivation of IPv6. The IPv6 headers and Extension headers are presented in (again) a straightforward explanation with plenty of diagrams and tables. This explanation includes the specific differences between IPv4 and IPv6 headers. A nice overview of IPSec headers includes authentication, transport, and tunneling modes.

One of the most substantial changes from IPv4 to IPv6 is the addresses and their types. After introducing hexadecimal and the address format short hands, Graziani explains well the structure of the new 128-bit address: prefix, subnet, and interface id. Chapter four outlines the multitude of unicast, multicast, and anycast address types. The Neighborhood Discovery Protocol is a new feature of Internet Control Message Protocol version 6 (ICMPv6). Graziani shows ICMPv6 with its enhancements is an important change in how IP hosts identify themselves and others hosts and routers on the network.

The middle of the book discusses IPv6 configuration and routing. Initially, a router is configured from scratch with the various address types. The same example configuration and network is nicely used through the middle of the book. This method is useful for continuity and context. Building on this initial configuration static routes and routing tables are built. The old and new RIPng, EIGRP, and OSPF are compared and contrasted in Chapter 8. The middle ends with Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol version 6 (DHCPv6). The new features such as stateless & stateful DHCP and relay agents are covered. Some interesting differences in Domain Name Service (DNS), TCP, and UDP are explained.

The book ends with mixed IPv4 and IPv6 environments. Graziani shows dual stack allows for parallel IPv4 and IPv6 networks. He covers tunneling methods such as 6to4 and ISATAP that allow for IPv6 packets to be encapsulated in IPv4 packets and routed through an IPv4 network. He shows this allows for a smooth transition from IPv4. Finally Network Address Translation IPv6 to IPv4 (NAT64) is walked through. He shows this allows and IPv4 address to be mapped to a IPv6 address and vice versa to allow coexisting IPv4 and IPv6 networks to communicate.

The review written by Cosmic Traveler says it well. I purchased 2 other books before this one and they both ended up on the bottom shelf of my bookshelf. I ordered this one and I couldn't put it down. If the mere thought of a 128-bit address represented in hexadecimal format makes your hair stand up, you need to order this book and then go have a glass of wine - or a cold beer.

Still very well edited!

We start off part two with a pretty nasty Simone attitude full of f-bombs and slapping when Isaac surprises her outside the diner again. I thought it was interesting to see the difference in the Simone in this book compared to the Simone in the first book after just a month of time passing. Bitter maybe because of the ending of book 1 (which I will not go into detail about in case you haven't read it yet)? Isaac takes her for a ride so they can talk and she notices they are getting farther away from where she lives, she flips out and there is an accident. This part was done really quickly, you almost miss it, but don't worry you will get the full details on the accident later on. This accident leaves Simone needing to recuperate and unable to be moved so her, Malik and Helen are staying with Isaac. You might think that this would prove to be disastrous for Isaac and you would be right. He's unable to keep the secret for long and one innocent little blanket mistake has more Simone f-bombs dropping. Can Simone stop cussing and is Master going to be able to punish her properly? Or will his deception be too much for Simone?
Unlike in part one which was entirely in Simone's POV, part two has 2 chapters in Isaac's POV, so we get to see what's going on in his head during all this time and I have to say I absolutely love being in Isaac's mind. Can't wait for more!

Love this unexpected story with all it's unique twists

WOW! Isaac tries to stay away from Simone but realizes he can't though his approach in getting her back into his life wasn't well thought out so confusion and chaos follow which I loved. We also get Isaac's POV in this installment so the mystery of his "master" life is revealed. This is a great balance to Simone's story and I think it was needed to really understand what he wants with Simone. I don't want to reveal to much of what happens because, as with of all of Violet Haze's stories, there are great twists that you don't see coming that reveal themselves in ways that captivate you as the reader. Is there a chance for a future with Isaac and Simone? That remains to be seen so I am eagerly awaiting part 3!

A sense of driving need....

Mate Part Two was an exceptional read. I felt the lead female characters pain and anguish as if it were my own. I also experienced her anger and regret. When "He" came into the mix I ached with her, her soul knew him and longed for him. There are not many writers today that can say that about their characters. Violet Haze brought her characters to life. I felt them and heard them.

Excellent write. Very good read.

The best of it's kind

Let there be no doubt this book is the best of it's kind and at the top of it's class. It's not long but covers the essentials of Cuban bass lines and understanding the rhythms that they come from not just for the bass but for the entire percussion section. There's a nice dose of history to give a background of how these lines were conceived and when to use them in a real live playing or recording situation. After a section on the basics and a section covering some theory and different variations from the standard lines there are some tunes with the bass lines written out note for note and half of those tunes are on the CD. So from this book you get the history, the basics of several different rhythms (danzon, son, bolero, cha-cha-cha, mambo, etc.), some variations and theory, and some real tunes to play along with. I like Oscar Stagnaro's 'The Latin Bass' book as an extension of this one, but get this one first as it focuses more on the history and the basics. The history is important because there's no point in learning this stuff if you don't know when to use it. For anyone studying Cuban bass especially those who did not grow up listening to this music this a must. p.s. no tab in either of these books.

What a Great Book.

I purchased this book after getting Oscar Stagnero's "Latin Bass Book." I am in my second year of playing the bass, and I knew nothing really about latin rhythms or their history. I wanted something to challenge me and this definitely took me out of my comfort zone. It has helped me with my reading and my rhythm. Get this along with Stagnero's work and you are set.

This book shows the amazing embroidery-skill of the Ahirs of Kutch-India.Your eyes get dazzled by the vibrant colours of this embroidery.Almost every page shows you by very detailed photo,s the culture of this Ahir people.
There is a very clear explanation about the stitches and symboles that are used.Also a lot of stories about the customes of the people and the embroidered textiles of this area in Gujarat.This book of 374 pages is a MUST for every textile,embroidery and culture-lover!After reading it you want to go there by yourself,to see everything with your own eyes.I did......but the book itself is also a travel to this wonderful world of colours and glittering mirrors.

Beautiful artwork and character designs!

I have to admit that I had absoulutely no idea what to expect from Soulfire in terms of storyline or writing and purchased this volume in order to get to Turner's superb artwork. If you are looking to collect more of Michael Turner's work or want to get a grasp of his artistic style than this book is a must have. The artwork and character designs are amazing and remain consistent throughout the book. The story seems to be a bit more violent than what I've seen in other works such as Fathom, there's more blood but that just adds more fun to the whole ride. Those who enjoy fantasy or sci-fi will love this book. There is also a quite sizable gallery of cover art and character sketches that those who want this book purely to enjoy the art will no doubt be grateful for. This is a jewel of a book that any casual or serious graphic novel lover will want to have in their collection! Review is by HALEY S., not Becky S.

Michael Turner's Soulfire Packed with Energy and Alive with Heroes.

I still have a original issues of Michael Turner’s Soulfire in my collection. Nothing against his artistic replacement Joe Benitez, like most of you, I lost interest after Turner’s death. The story had all the trappings of every Young Adult story out there. Our young hero Mal needs to fulfill some prophecy to safeguard humanity. This starts his quest to strange places to collect a team building a small army to defeat…. blah blah- you get the idea.

Mecha robots, mega dragons bad guys who are eight foot tall and magic dragonfly warrior ladies with almost no clothes. Yup, it’s complex. The real knock-out dragonfly babe is named Grace. She tries to guide young Mal ( Malikal,) and friends on their journey while looking really sexy. Malikal, an androgynous blond boy who is so slight, I thought he was a girl for the first five pages, keeps getting into trouble, spills and thrills. Each page has layer after layer of pictures and color to dazzle and engage. Each page had images overlapping- complex but it flowed with energy. Each page had notes to explain what was going on, because Turner was an artist and dialogue boxes distract from his characters’ glaring stares and dynamic poses. You had to love Turner’s energy.

Then Michael Turner died. Cancer. Soulfire sat unfinished as everyone mourned Turner’s passing. They made a few more issues to finish Turner’s story. The ending was ok but we knew that we would never see Malikal or Grace again.

If you want to enjoy Turner's artwork and mastery of the page, look through this book as I did, look at it moving from the back to front so you don’t get distracted by the story. You will see when the art direction changed and the quality dropped off. I bought this to celebrate the man I never met or knew.

I also want you to look-up Loeb/Turner’s run for DC’s Superman/Batman #8-13. When Supergirl comes to town. I snapped-up all of them on my Kindle- worthy of a return look.

A delicious, light confection, as light as cotton candy.

What a beautiful volume this is! Great artistry here, held together by a flimsy but fun story. Magic and technology do battle as impossibly beautiful young people fight the evil powers that be. Lead character Grace is the stunningly sexy and beautiful magical creature with dragonfly wings. Her male counterpart is on his epic journey, straight out of the fantasy quest formula, but told in a very fun way.

For me the story at times was a bit formulaic and slow, but the illustrations made up for it.

Extras included in this TP are story development notes, some scripting, and best of all, several pages of alternate covers. These covers are all pin-up style art by a variety of artists, showcasing the lovely Grace and occasionally a minor character or two.
